Following the inaugural event last year, the Australian Risk Management Awards 2005 will be held in Sydney in late November.

This year the awards will feature an updated format, with additional awards, a new judging panel, a new venue and heightened competition. The awards will comprise seven award categories with most being team awards. However, the flagship award of the night will be the newly introduced Risk Professional of the Year. This award will honour an outstanding individual in the field of risk management, audit and compliance.

The ceremony for this year’s event will be held in the sumptuous Treasury Room at the Intercontinental Hotel, and will feature a relaxed cocktail lounge setting. Next month we will be telling you how to nominate and fleshing out all details of the awards, categories, judges and ceremony.
