The Australian Risk Management Awards will take place in September this year, organisers have announced.
Now in their third year, the awards are fast becoming the country’s leading event for celebrating excellence in Australia’s risk and compliance professions. For the first time, the awards are presented in conjunction with Australia’s leading risk management conference.
Organised by LexisNexis, publisher of Risk Management magazine, and principal-sponsored by RuleBurst, the awards have grown to reflect the increasingly important and complex role that risk and compliance play modern organisations. This year’s event features five awards covering team and individual categories across risk management, compliance and audit.
The awards are endorsed by Chartered Secretaries Australia and the Institute of Internal Auditors and confirmed category sponsors so far include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Protiviti, Cura Software Solutions and the IIA. Go to www.armawards.com.au for more info. Nominations open 21 April.
Last year’s winners included Geoff Bell of Suncorp, who was named PwC risk professional of the year, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, which took out the Cura Software Solutions award for best use of technology in a risk project and Bronwyn Friday, then of Citipower & Powercor Australia, who was named RuleBurst young risk professional of the year.
